Quare Clare’s Statement on Cooperation with Limerick Pride and The Outing Festival to Bring EuroPride to the West of Ireland in 2028

We at QuareClare, organisers of Clare Pride, are thrilled to announce our partnership with Limerick Pride and The Outing Festival as we embark on the incredible journey to bring EuroPride to the West of Ireland in 2028. Situated on the west coast of Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way, County Clare boasts a vibrant LGBTQIA+ community that radiates resilience, diversity, and inclusivity.

As we join forces to host EuroPride, we’re eager to showcase the rich tapestry of our community’s history, culture, and artistry. Our county is not only renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and spectacular scenery but also for its many cultural, artistic, and musical gems. From the ancient wonders of the Burren to the melodies echoing through our historic towns, County Clare offers a warm embrace to all who seek to celebrate love, acceptance, and unity.

The collaboration between QuareClare, Limerick Pride, and The Outing Festival signifies a powerful alliance dedicated to amplifying the voices of LGBTQIA+ individuals. Together, we look forward to welcoming friends old and new from across Europe to experience the magic of EuroPride in the heart of Ireland’s West.

According to Mr. McGuinness of The Outing Festival, “Working with our partners in the Mid-West Region, we are hoping to bring LGBTQ+ tourists and activists from across the world to Limerick and Clare in 2028, which would also coincide with the 35th anniversary of the decriminalization of homosexuality in Ireland. Limerick is well accustomed to hosting large-scale international events, and we are confident we can follow in the footsteps of Amsterdam, London, Lisbon, Copenhagen, and Madrid in showcasing our vibrant LGTBQ+ community here in Ireland, as this would be the 1st time EuroPride would come to the island of Ireland.”
